Laser Cutting and Engraving
One of the most popular pieces of equipment in our makerspace are our laser cutters, they can be used to cut and etch a variety of materials and are quite easy to learn how to use.

Step 2
Attend an assisted practice session to get comfortable running the machines.

Group practice sessions are Wed 6-9pm & Sun 12:30-5pm.
If you prefer to work on your own, you may also come in during open hours and ask a team member for help.
Step 3
Laser Cut one of our example parts. Show your successful laser cut item to an instructor and they will sign you off as a laser cutter approved user.
NOW you are approved to come use our laser cutting machines!

Laser Cutting Machines Available
100 Watt Laser Machine
Bed size of this machine is 3′ x 4′ and it can cut up to 1/2 inch thick materials (most materials).
80 Watt Laser Machine
Bed size of this machine is 2′ x 3′ and it can cut up to 3/8 inch thick materials (most materials).
